Our first day off from orientation called for a field trip!!!! So we travelled down to southern Colorado Springs to a sweet place called Garden of the Gods, a park with paved sidewalks and trails and beautiful red rock formations that you can just walk around and enjoy.
The sky is absolutely blue in Colorado and the sun just shines and shines...and there aren't many trees, maybe I should get used to wearing a hat?
Friends!!!! It's so much fun to explore a new place while building new friendships, sharing the likes and dislikes and stories and how God brought us all this far.
This is a pretty cool rock, called balanced rock. I wanted to push it over but was reassured it has now been cemented in place.
Yay for fake cactus outside of the trading post! I thought about trying to trade some stuff to get some postcards, but apparently they only accept U.S. currency.
I heart Darci! She is up for anything....from the opposite "Washington".
There seems to be a theme through this whole venture westward.... if and when I find a fake buffalo... I take a picture with it. At least this time it was a more reasonable size!
